Why do we use a Can Versus a Tetra-pak or bottle?

As our products pack in Thailand, our steel can (350mL) is the most efficient way to package coconut water. The packaging itself has reflected the same stunning graphics that Tetra-paks and bottles have, they are even offer a 2 years shelf life vs 1 year for tetra pak, it's fully recyclable- unlike Tetra-Paks, and do not pose the health risk associated with plastic bottles.

What is the difference between coconut water and coconut milk?

Our coconut water is the water from young green coconut. It's extraordinary taste good for drinking. For some brand in the market, their coconut drinks is not made by fresh coconut water , in fact they are mixing with sugar, some coconut water and coconut meat to make it taste better. Typically, normal coconut milk will have much fat compared to pure Coconut water. There's a big difference between coconut water and coconut milk. Coconut water is the clear, electrolyte rich liquid from inside younger coconuts and contains zero fat and zero cholesterol. Coconut milk, on the other hand, is what is produced from grating the "meat", and often used as an ingredient in cooking and baking.

What Is the difference between coconut water from Thailand and coconut water from other country(Philippines, Brazil, India and etc)?

The primary difference is the taste. Brazilian, Philippines and others coconut water tends to have a less sweet taste, while Thai coconut water is slightly sweet with a stronger coconut flavor. Part of the difference can be accounted for in the processing methods used , the most of the difference is in the varieties of coconut used, soil and growing conditions, no matter where the coconut water comes from though, it always comes with heaps of good nutrients and super hydrating healthy. Coconut water is one of the most natural sources of Potassium (More than a banana) and other electrolytes.

Cocogeek is not certified organic. However the coconuts we use are grown without pesticides. We do not use any chemicals in the growth or processing of our coconuts. Organic certification in countries like Thailand is almost impossible and prohibitively expensive.

Is Cocogeek coconut water raw or Pasteurized?

We flash pasteurize our products for safety to consume. Without pasteurization, the product would ferment in the cans in transit. Flash pasteurization, also called "High Temperature Short Time" processing, is a method of heat pasteurization of perishable beverages like fruit and vegetable juices. Compared to other pasteurization process, it maintains color and flavor better. It is done prior to filling into containers in order to kill spoilage microorganisms to make the products safer and extend their shelf life. The liquid moves in a controlled, continuous flow while subjected to temperatures of 71.5°C (160 °F) to 74 °C (165°F), for about 15-30 seconds. Therefore no nutrients are lost in this process.

Why do you put pulp in your product?

Pulp in coconut water is a traditional way to serve this beverage in many parts of the world. In the future, we are going to launch version without pulp soon.

What is the shelf life of Cocogeek?

Do taste and color vary?

Yes, the taste and color of coconut water varies based on agricultural conditions.
